You can watch FREE movies under the stars at Downsview Park


Summer nights, outdoor movies and picnics – name a better combo, we’ll wait! Movies Under the Stars at Downsview Park is back this season and you can catch screenings of popular new releases for free!

The annual film program is back for its 6th edition this summer and this year will take place at the lake, between the orchard pavilion and the lake inside the park.

The show starts around 9 p.m., but you’ll want to arrive early to get a good seat and a head start on your picnic.

Registrations are open for the next outdoor film on the program, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which is played this Thursday, July 28.

To guarantee your spot, all you need to do is get a free ticket online for each person in your group. You will need to check in at the tent on site upon arrival.

If you can’t make it to Thursday’s show, you can catch a free screening of Disney’s Encanto on August 9 and registration opens at 8 a.m. on August 2.

The last show of the season is the hugely popular movie Spider-Man: No Coming Homeplayed on the night of August 22.

Downsview Park isn’t the only place to watch free movies under the stars in Toronto this summer.

Christie Pits Park, Corktown Common and Bell Manor Park will have outdoor film screenings throughout July and August as part of the annual Toronto Outdoor Picture Show. You can see the full schedule for all three parks here.
