Watch thousands of free movies with KDL’s new streaming service, Kanopy


The Kent District Library continues to provide much more than books. Now, in addition to being able to view items like home improvement tools, bikes, and tablets, KDL now offers thousands of movies for free through its new streaming service, Kanopy.

Kanopi over 30,000 high-quality movie titles that inspire, educate and entertain. Available media includes award-winning independent films, important and topical documentaries, foreign films, popular cinema, children’s shows, and more.

Top Kanopy titles include lady bird, Chinese district, I’m not your nigga, Miss Representation, and Moonlight, with new content added weekly.

Many films on Kanopy, including those from iconic film companies such as A24, Criterion Collection, Paramount, PBS and Kino Lorber, are not available elsewhere.

The app also offers content for kids, parental controls, and an app that can be used on smart TVs, phones, and streaming devices.

The experience is easy to use and completely ad-free. Anyone with a Kent District Library card can take advantage of this service.
