With expected temperatures climb into the 90s wednesday, what better way to escape the heat than by being in a cool, air-conditioned theater for a few hours?
A partnership between Gateway Cinema Center and the Columbus City Council is making it easier to go to the movies, with free movie screenings from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Customers will also receive complimentary popcorn, according to a press release.
Films shown at Gateway, located at 1550 N. High Street, include Disney/Pixar’s “Lightyear,” the origin story of “Toy Story” space commander Buzz Lightyear; “Jurassic World Dominion,” the third entry in the “Jurassic World” series, which sees star Chris Pratt embark on a globe-trotting adventure with “Jurassic Park” actors Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill; and “Top Gun: Maverick,” the long-awaited sequel to the 1986 movie “Top Gun,” where Tom Cruise teaches a new class of Navy aviators.
