For fans of extreme cinema, filmmakers Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury are essentially household names.
The director duo are arguably even better known for the insanely creepy horror film of 2007. Inside. Right out of the gate with their debut, they announced that they were ready to approach their craft with unwavering passion.
Since then they have impressed audiences with Livid, Among the living and achieved greater visibility when they led the Texas Chainsaw Massacre entrance Leatherface in 2017.
Then waKandisha, which, although arriving on Shudder recently, has been somewhat overshadowed by the discussions on The Deep House.

UK audiences can now rent The Deep House on Amazon Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store, Virgin TV Go and Sky Store.
On Amazon Video, it’s available in HD for just £ 5.99.
In the US, the film will be available on Epix and other streaming platforms from Friday, November 5, 2021.

When they arrive to find a boring vacation spot, they are delighted to learn of the existence of a place hidden under the lake that tourists do not know about. So, they snorkel and descend, discovering a strange mansion with a shocking secret.
It’s ultimately a haunted house movie underwater, and yes, that’s how they made it.
As Dashfun noted, the directors explained, “We wanted to make this movie for real. We wanted to have that visceral feeling of being in an element that is not ours.
