Netrikann, the first production venture of Vignesh Shivan starring Nayanthara in the lead role released today (August 13) on Disney + Hotstar and guess what? Hours after its release on the streaming platform, the film was leaked online on infamous websites. Directed by Milind Rau, the thriller was leaked on hack sites such as Telegram, Tamilrockers and Movierulz, also in HD (high definition) quality.
Well, upon its release, the film received a tremendous response from audiences and critics alike. The intense performances of Nayanthara and Ajmal Ameer and the well-crafted story of
Netrikann
have managed to strike a chord with moviegoers. Interestingly, Nayanthara plays the role of a blind woman who approaches the police claiming that she witnessed a murder. While Ajmal is seen as a ruthless murderer who kidnaps and kills women. His story and his fight against the antagonist form the crux of the story.

Netrikann
is the official Tamil remake of the 2011 Korean drama
Blind
directed by Ahn Sang Hoon. The Nayanthara-starrer also features Indhuja Ravichandran, Sharan Shakti and Manikandan R Achari in leading roles. Supported by Rowdy Pictures and Kross Pictures of Vignesh, the thriller features music composed by Girishh Gopalakrishnan. RD Rajasekhar is the director of photography. Kartik Mehta wrote the lyrics for the songs in the film.
