Nowadays, there are a ton of sites where you can stream videos for free as you like. As you may know, between cable bills and premium streaming services, the cost can add up to quite a significant amount per month. However, with a little digging here and there, we’ve done some research for you to find some great free sites to stream content.
HBO Max, Netflix, Apple TV+
While you can certainly subscribe to some of these premium services, I’ve compiled a list of free video streaming options. You will notice that what makes these services free is the integration of advertisements that are almost impossible to ignore.
Even better, many of these free options don’t require you to register with the site. However, you can create a free profile if you want to save your selections to watch later. Let’s move on to the list of best free streaming sources of 2022.
-
- peacock – Lots of familiar content. Although there is a paid version of this site, you can watch a lot of great content here. You will need to sign up for a free account
-
- Roku Channel – Look for the blue words that say “FREE” under the title. You can watch content without signing up for any type of account
-
- Youtube – Tons of movies to watch here
-
- IMDB Television – Good options here. Will require you to sign up for a free account
-
- Crackle – Another good option. Does not require you to create a free account
-
- tube – Another good option. Does not require you to create a free account
-
- popcornflix– dedicated to movies only with more than 1500 movies available. Lots of movies here seem obscure, but I recognized quite a few movies. Does not require you to create a free account.
-
- news about – This streaming service offers more than 275 local news feeds. Not a huge amount of stations, but check if your local news station is here.
-
- Amazon Prime – While it’s not technically free, if you’re already an Amazon Prime member, you get free access to their library of movies and TV shows.
And if you’re looking for an affordable new device to stream that content, I have a great suggestion for a brand new laptop for around $279 (at press time). Yeah, you really can get a brand new laptop for that little one! the HP Chromebook 14 features an Intel Celeron N4000 processor, 4GB/RAM, 32GB eMMC in this lightweight laptop with a built-in webcam, dual mics and long battery life of up to 13 hours and 30 minutes of wireless streaming on a single charge.
- READY FOR REMOTE WORK – Work efficiently from the comfort of your own home office using the HP Chromebook 14.
